The Ford Owners Association of the Carolinas is bringing its 9th annual Blue Oval Classic Car Show to Mooresville Ford on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 8am to 4 pm.

Organizers expect more than 250 classic Ford cars and trucks, covering every decade from the 1920s to the present day. This year, Mercurys will be the featured vehicles at the show and the show again serves as a Fairlane Club of America mini-meet.

This marks the seventh year the show will benefit Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center in Statesville. Dove House is a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center that provides support and services to child victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending family members.

Trophies will be awarded for Best of Show plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the over 30 classes. This year’s show again features an “unrestored” class with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Trophies are unique and highly coveted, made from RoushYates NASCAR engine parts.

The Junior Judging Program sponsored by Watson Insurance also returns with judges ages 8- 14 able to inspect and score a number of show cars, and present an award to the winner. Dash plaques and goody bags will be given to the first 200 cars on display.

The show will include food and auto-related vendors, including RoushYates Performance Parts. There will be a DJ on site spinning classic tunes, plus lots of door prizes, raffles, a dunking tank and a 50/50 raffle to benefit Dove House.
